Job Advertisement – Membrane Roofing Installer Employer: Extreme Roofing Otago Ltd Location: Otago Region – Dunedin Hours: Full-time, minimum 30 hours per week Pay Rate: $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Start Date: As soon as possible Employment Type: Permanent About Us Extreme Roofing Otago Ltd is a specialist roofing company delivering high-quality membrane roofing and tanking installations across the Otago - Dunedin region. We are committed to safety, craftsmanship, and long-term excellence. The Role We are seeking up to 5 full-time Membrane Roofing Installers to join our growing team. These are permanent positions suitable for experienced installers or motivated individuals willing to learn. On-the-job training will be provided where necessary. Job Duties • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications • Inspect substrates to assess suitability for waterproofing systems • Accurately measure, cut, and install membrane materials (Torch-On, Butynol, TPO, and tanking systems) • Ensure precise layout and sealing of membrane layers for watertightness • Perform repairs and maintenance of existing membrane roofing systems • Use power tools, LPG burners (burnzo), and equipment safely and correctly • Follow all manufacturer instructions and ensure work meets quality standards • Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures, including correct PPE use and site cleanliness • Complete accurate daily timesheets Skills and Experience Required • Two years of work experience in membrane roofing or another relevant occupation, or a relevant qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 • Experience with Torch-On, Butynol, TPO, tanking, bentonite application – training available • Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions • Commitment to safe work practices and procedures • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Good communication skills Minimum Job Requirements • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday, between 7am–5pm • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening (if requested) • Must hold or be willing to obtain a Site Safe Passport (training provided) • Must speak and understand English to perform tasks safely and effectively • Physically fit to handle the demands of the role What We Offer • Hourly wage paid fortnightly ($35–$40/hour based on experience) • Tool and footwear allowance • KiwiSaver employer contributions • Work uniform provided • Ongoing training and upskilling opportunities How to Apply Please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your interest and relevant experience to: otago@extremeroofing.co.nz Applications close: Friday, 12 July 2025
