The camera is not new a recent model but still decent, and with this lense you can do a bit of everything. It’s a prime lense (i.e. it does not zoom) but 35mm (50mm equivalent) focal length is not too wide and not too narrow. And the wide f1.8 aperture will give you nice bokeh.
