Unlike many other contractors, we don’t employ people for one specific skill set. We don’t employ dedicated ‘truck drivers’, ‘excavator operators’ or ‘labourers’. We employ people with the right attitude and a willingness to learn, and we focus on developing our staff to become the ultimate all rounders. We strongly encourage and facilitate our employees to upskill through on-site mentoring, formal training and licensing. Our employees can do it all – one person can be a driver, operator, labourer, hammerhand and supervisor all rolled into one. One day you might be asphalting a driveway, the next day you might be building a boardwalk and the day after that you might be creating a playground. Our projects included all elements of civil and landscape work. This means you get to see projects from start to finish and take pride in creating something out of nothing. This also gives us the ultimate quality control, allowing us to go the extra mile every step of the project and deliver the highest quality finish. If you want to enjoy a wide variety of work, as part of a high-performing local company with a strong team culture; along with the opportunity for training and advancement – apply today! Why work for Robinsons: * Wide variety of work * Locally owned and operated for 50 years * Well established, experienced and supportive team * Training and development opportunities * Develop a wide range of skills * Strong forward workload What we're looking for: * Great team player * Willingness to learn new skills * Comfortable in a flexible role completing a range of works * Experience in Civil Construction * Class 2 license * Wheels, Tracks, Rollers license is a bonus Details: * Most of our projects are in Whangārei, but we do work across the Northland region * Our yard is in Kamo, Whangārei * We generally work Monday to Friday, 7am - 5pm * We encourage our staff to upskill and provide in-house and external training
