Grow Active Essex Street is looking for a Centre Cook to join our team. You would be part of team who are passionate about feeding our children nutritious food to support their growth and development. As our Centre Cook you will be responsible for providing a nutritious menu made on site each day, while also spending time in the classrooms to support the teachers over their lunch breaks This role is a busy role, so good time management is essential. You will need to be confident to work independently as well as in a team, be a great team player, flexible and enjoy having fun in your workplace. The role also includes 1 hour in the classroom each day and some laundry duties. There are set menus and recipes to follow, and you will need to have an understanding of different allergies and dietary requirements to ensure all children's needs are met. Experience and a food safety certificate is helpful, but not a requirement, as we provide on-site training and allow you time to complete a food safety course. This role is 40 hours per week with the hours being 7:30-4pm Monday-Friday. Discounted childcare if required This role is for NZ Residents only as we are not an accredited employer.
