THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE: To manufacture components for the assembly of cabinets and benchtops, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of delivery. A great smile and team attitude goes a long way in this role. CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS * Accuracy * Communicates effectively with team mates * Positive attitude and outlook * Reliable and dependable * Good Attendance * Follows procedures and instruction * Attends to detail * Follows up * Energy and enthusiasm SKILLS * Experience in cabinetmaking/joinery industry essential * Experience operating and maintaining CNC saws, edgebanders and drilling plant (ideally HOMAG) and other manufacturing equipment essential * A keen focus on quality and cleanliness of work space RESPONSIBILITIES * To be part of a team that ensures the optimal running of all processes within the factory * To assist with the planning, manufacture and despatch of kitchen, wardrobe and other cabinetry components * To assist in the unloading and restocking of raw materials * Ensuring workspaces are keep clean and tidy. * Complying with health and safety regulations. * Working as part of a team and treating team mates with respect at all times. * Fulfilling objectives set out by their line manager EXPECTATIONS We are looking for people who: * Are comfortable working in a team environment * Are reliable and dependable. * Are able to work well with others * Are eager learners and keen to learn/do more * Are able to follow up and follow through to ensure processes and tasks are completed. * Uses initiative to keep the factory operating smoothly. * Care. At the start of the day: * You’re clear on what needs to be done at your station * Pre start checks are completed, and plant is running efficiently During the day: * You work collaboratively with those around you to ensure that customers orders are completed in full and on time * You recognise poor quality and intervene to ensure that doesn’t end up with the customer * You check as you go, ensuring components are manufactured to specification * You ask questions if you’re not sure At the end of the day: * The plant is clean and tidy and ready for the next day *Any maintenance required has been completed * You go home feeling like you’ve achieved something
