Our pursuit of excellence empowers New Zealand exporters to compete effectively in global markets. **Location:** Timaru Port **Status:** Start your stevedoring career at $42.44/hour on a casual basis. **Position: Casual Stevedoring General Hand [Multiple Positions available]** This role is perfect for anyone interested in starting a career in the stevedoring port industry. No matter your experience level this job could be an excellent fit for you. As a general hand you will receive training to work on and alongside ships handling the loading and unloading at your local port. Additionally for the right candidate there will be opportunities to train on operating machinery over time. **Specific Responsibilities** No previous port experience is required as we provide comprehensive training. This role includes (but is not limited to) slinging logs lashing/securing project cargo and other related tasks involving manual handling marking logs and operating small wharf forklifts.
