





Are you a Customer Service superstar? Do you enjoy helping people? The Manawatū District Council is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to help the Customer Services team provide a high quality, friendly service to all our customers. You will enjoy interacting with customers over the phone or at reception and have strong computer skills with a high attention to detail. This role offers a variety of tasks, and we are looking for someone who can multi-task, remain calm in difficult situations and who is a great team player. To be successful in this role you will need: * A commitment to providing great customer service * Excellent listening and communication skills * Ability to work collaboratively * A desire to help others and contribute to the success of a larger team * Competent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel * An understanding/ interest in Local Government and the services we provide to our community What we'll offer * An opportunity to continue to shape the Customer Service team for continual improvement in the services provided to our Community * A synergetic and supportive team working environment This position involves working 8 hours every Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with additional opportunities to provide cover during staff leave periods.
