Your main responsibilities will be to install, commission, test, and troubleshoot Transmission communication systems. Flexible working hours and participation on a 24/7 stand-by roster is a requirement for this role, a willingness to travel for projects and work away from home, occasionally with short notification, are requirements for this role.   About You To be successful in this role, you will need to be physically fit and comfortable working at heights. Experience working on a New Zealand or Australian telco/power network is essential for this role. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will help you to build string working relationships and produce commissioning reports. Ideally you will have exposure to the following: •    Low Voltage DC Power Plant Installation, Commissioning - Battery Testing •    IP Experience - Nokia, Alcatel Lucent, Cisco experience preferable •    Transmission Installation, Commissioning - Ethernet, SDH, PDH •    Outside and Inside Plant Cable installation, Testing & Fault Repair •    Protection Signaling Systems •    Data Cabling, Data Tray/Raceway Installation •    WiFi & VOIP Installation, Commissioning •    SCADA Systems •    Excel & Word The following would be advantageous: •    Electrical Registration •    The ability to interpret and work from drawings •    RF Feeder and Antenna installation experience  About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Abseil / Rope Access Technician - Wellington
