About the role As a Diesel Automotive Technician at Keith Andrews Trucks Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the diesel-powered vehicles that are the lifeblood of our business. This full-time position is based in our Seaview, Wellington location, where you will use your expertise to keep our fleet operating at peak performance. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity (for the right candidate) based in Queenstown offering approximatly 40-60 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water reticulation systems in the Southern Lakes area / Central Otago. Key Responsibilities: * Operate excavators and other machinery to support site preparation and system installation * Install and maintain stormwater and wastewater pipelines in accordance with engineering specifications and environmental standards * Lead small teams on-site, coordinating daily tasks and resolving technical challenges * Conduct inspections and performance testing to ensure system integrity and compliance * Perform repairs on water tanks, pressure systems, and confined space assets We are looking for candidates who bring: * A Level 3 or Level 4 Pipeline Construction & Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) * Experience operating excavators and other related machinery * Class 2 (preferred) * Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsements * The ability to work independently with a positive can-do attitude.
