Position: Full time/Contracted role Who are we? W.D.M. (NZ) Limited is a highways surveying engineering company, that has been operating in N.Z. since 1994 and is the world leader in highway condition assessment, helping NZ Transport Agency & Local Authorities prevent over 1400 wet skid crashes per year, in New Zealand. In September 2025 WDM start work on a new 5 year contract with the NZTA. We are committed to helping the NZTA to improve road safety and saving lives, by using state of the art data collection techniques, which are processed through a number of in-house software applications and procedures. About the role: We are seeking a data processor to join our team at WDM, in our Plimmerton office, near Porirua, Wellington. In this role you will be responsible for completing projects with high attention to detail and diligence, using prescribed data processing techniques with lateral thinking and problem-solving skills. You will process the survey machine data to a finished deliverable format within specified deadline. The working week is usually 40-hours, 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This role is initially seasonal, with data collection commencing in Spring and continuing through to the Autumn each year, with the potential option to work on other international projects. Full training will be provided. Skills and experience Our ideal candidate will bring: • Computer skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite products • Database experience • Knowledge of GIS software • An understanding of engineering concepts • Attention to detail in addition to effective problem-solving skills, • Work well in a small team with good communications skills • Good planning and map reading skills • Nice, relaxed, small office environment Most importantly you will have a proactive, positive approach and be a team player.
