Our customers (big builders, wholesalers, electrical and mechanical contractors and the like) need help with solutions to overcome these problems and this role is important because it focuses on ensuring that our customers end up with great service and quality products at the right time. This position will focus primarily on exploring opportunities for sales, developing innovative engineered solutions, and creating high value sales transactions with our valued customers across major projects and day to day sales. You’ll call on current customers and work on opening the doors for new customers as we have a growth agenda and your role will be key to that. What we would like? We’re after someone who has had business to business territory sales experience, primarily in the electrical/mechanical markets. Your remit will include: • Being primarily responsible for tier 1, 2 and 3 contactors as well as major wholesaler groups across Wellington and the Lower North Island. • Wholesale calls relevant to pull through orders at key branches. • End user sales calls. • Consulting engineers on an as needed capacity. • Providing product training for contractors and wholesalers. • Negotiation of project sales. • Co-ordination of project quotes and working with the Regional Manager and National Sales Manager on major projects. Your keys to success: • Experience negotiating major projects. • Wholesaler growth. • Technical capability or the ability to learn to understand technical points. • Mechanical/electrical trade experience preferred. • Minimum 5 years sales experience on the road. • Experience selling to electrical contractors, consulting engineers, and end user clients. • IT literacy including Microsoft suite and any sort of CRM. • Ability to work independently whilst supporting a team. • Likable, friendly, can-do attitude with a great work ethic.
