* Professional hours that count towards your qualification * Do you have an interest in the water industry? * Join our paid Summer Internship We have a fixed-term Project Management Internship position available to offer as part of our 2025/2026 Summer Intern Programme. The internship will be from Monday, 17 November 2025 to Friday, 6 February 2026. During your employment you will be paid the current living wage. The opportunity Our Summer Internship Programme is an opportunity for students who are looking to do real work that will support our community. We will provide a great learning environment where you will get to work on tasks that will help you in your personal and professional development. During your internship no two days will be the same, and you will be exposed to a variety of engineering work programmes and have the opportunity to see large projects and operational facilities that ensure the Wellington community receives safe, reliable and compliant water services. This internship will give you experience supporting a range of different water and infrastructure projects that are delivered internally and externally and may have a focus on treatment plant process engineering improvements, network renewal and infrastructure improvements. You will get to see professional programme practice in action and collaborate with technical experts. Your role may include: * supporting the development of programme and project activities * compiling project performance and financial information to support the progression and reporting within projects * site visits and coordination with suppliers, design and specification engineers and other stakeholders * supporting the team with quality assurance and health and safety implementation * participating in general project activities and coordination. Depending on capability you may also be asked to champion 'Te Mana o te Wai' and Tikanga Maori principals into our project practice. Internships are available for students studying in New Zealand towards the following: * Applied Management (Major Project Management) * A relevant Management Masters or Bachelor Degree You will be required to be working towards an NCEA recognised postgraduate qualification at Level 7 or higher, such as a Bachelor or Masters Degree in a relevant field.
