Description

Our Maintenance team is a key factor in ensuring guests have a comfortable room to go back to after a day of exploring the unique outdoor environment, or to simply relax in a peaceful and beautiful part of the world. We are looking for an experienced Painter to help maintain the interiors and exteriors throughout our 250 guest rooms in the Hermitage complex, along with our 150 staff accommodation rooms, as well as the surrounding support building and grounds. This is a varied and fast-paced role with a mix of proactive and reactive work, in a fun and enthusiastic team, and a location like no other. What you will be doing * Internal & external painting, completing to a high-quality finish across hotel, lodge, motels and staff accommodations other areas to meet hotel standards * Applying your knowledge of different paints, solvents, adhesives, as well as different types of wall hanging papers and vinyl to ensure the best results are delivered for interiors and exteriors. * Operating and maintaining all tools and machinery as outlined in department SOPs * Planning and prioritizing jobs to ensure time limits are met * Ensuring a high standard of health, safety and hygiene is maintained * Carrying out any other general maintenance duties as directed * Working 7am-5pm including weekends. * Rotating on call shifts outside of regular hours to respond to emergencies What you will bring to the role * Minimum six months experience as a professional painter in commercial or residential property. * Prior experience in property maintenance is desired * A confident and safe driver, you hold a full clean NZ Driver's license or international equivalent * A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn * Friendly, outgoing, and professional, with excellent communication skills * Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritize * A strong desire to strive for excellence The role and benefits * Fulltime, fixed term or permanent position available, minimum 80 hours per fortnight, working 7am - 5pm * Pay range is $29.00 - $35.00 depending on qualifications and experience. * Free access to all activities offered by the Hermitage Hotel after eight weeks service * Generous discounts on food and beverage, available from your first day on the job. * Discounted hotel accommodation for Friends and Family after eight weeks service * Live in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, with stunning surroundings and unparalleled views - a short and remarkable commute to work * Accommodation at reasonable rent including power, and Wi-Fi.

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Blaster Painter to join our Taranaki based team! About the job: * Prepare surfaces of a material prior to the application of a protective coating to the safety, quality and environment standard required. * Provide the best possible coating method and result while maintaining a safe working environment. * Use the application of industrial protective coatings by all methods of application, i.e spray (conventional and airless), roller brush and trowel, and all types of coatings including paint, metal arc spray, fireproofing and pipe wrapping. * All abrasive blasting and Protective Coatings are to comply with current Australia and New Zealand standard. * The ideal candidate will also be experienced with operating an industrial forklift, moving product around the sites as needed working in conjunction with the Supervisor and Clients timeframes.
