1930's Danish 'Raadvad' Bead Slicer. Make A Statement. Form Meets Function. Striking in Canary Yellow with Rimu colored woodwork. Extremely sharp and working as it should having undergone a full & sympathetic restoration. Cast iron, stainless steel, and timber construction. Raadvad was founded in 1758 and first manufactured knives and later cutlery. It became known worldwide with the second version of the Raadvad bread slicer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1951, the company became a Danish purveyor to the court. Since the takeover by Fiskars in 1994, the products have mostly been exported under this brand and are almost exclusively offered in Denmark as Raadvad. All product designs come from Danish designers.
