Do you (or someone you know) sometimes struggle to stay engaged and act towards a hopeful future, in a world that seems full of disconnection and challenges like social injustice and environmental crises? Most of us do, which is why the famous author and activist Joanna Macy created an interactive small-group workshop called The Work That Reconnects. This process guides simple discussions that help people âexperience their innate connections with each other and the self-healing powers of the web of life, thereby transforming despair and overwhelm into inspired, collaborative action.â See www.workthatreconnects.org if youâd like more detail. The One Mindful Breath meditation community in Wellington is hosting a four-hour workshop based on The Work That Reconnects and held at a beautiful nature-rich venue in Mount Victoria. It will be led by George Lamb, an experienced facilitator who is passionate about assisting people to take action, small or large, that creates more connection with others and is in service of the future we hope to see. It will be followed by a shared potluck lunch for anyone who can stay. đ° Pay a $10 deposit to hold your place and cover our venue costs, but whether you donate more to assist future such events is entirely up to you. đ„ Morning tea is provided but bring a small contribution to the vegetarian shared lunch. â Limited to 12 participants. To sign up, please complete the brief form here: https://forms.gle/iHpKt1t9QmY1HkTr9 â If you have any questions please email onemindfulbreathnz@gmail.com. If you canât attend this time but would like to be notified of future such workshops, please sign up to our newsletter at our website [One Mindful Breath](https://www.onemindfulbreath.org.nz/).
