We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Manager to lead international marketing and student recruitment across a key global region. About the Role As Regional Manager, you will lead student recruitment and conversion activities within your assigned region. You will develop and implement tailored, multichannel recruitment strategies in collaboration with the Office of Global Engagement, Massey’s five Colleges, and key stakeholders across the University. You will also lead agent engagement and enhance student conversion outcomes. From hosting international delegations to representing Massey at key global events, you will be instrumental in strengthening the University’s global footprint and student experience. The salary band for this position is $80,984 - $113,805 based on skills and experience with preferred location on either our Palmerston North or Albany, Auckland Campus. What You’ll Do With a strong focus on student recruitment and relationship management, you will: Represent Massey University at key international and domestic recruitment events and activities within your assigned region. Lead and implement marketing and recruitment initiatives. Support both on-campus and online programme recruitment, with a strong emphasis on student conversion. Build and nurture strategic relationships with agents and external stakeholders. Identify opportunities for business development, partnerships, and articulation agreements. Maintain a deep understanding of international market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging trends. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (i.e. International Education, Marketing, Business). Proven experience in international student recruitment, marketing, or international education. Strategic thinking and the ability to execute plans in a complex, fast-paced environment Strong understanding of regional education markets, including experience managing in-country activities. Familiarity with student pathways, conversion tactics, and CRM systems is highly desirable. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage. Willingness to travel internationally and work across multiple time zones as needed. Outstanding communication skills and cultural competence in working with diverse global audiences. The employment setting will involve work with people across the lifespan and applicants will be required to comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and the Vulnerable Children (Requirements for Safety Checks of Children’s Workers) Regulations 2015.
