Massey University is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, International Operations and Conversion to join our Office of Global Engagement. In this pivotal role, you will lead innovative, data-informed initiatives to strengthen the international student application journey and drive enrolment outcomes. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing targeted conversion strategies, managing recruitment communications and support services, and working collaboratively with academic and professional teams to remove barriers across the applicant-to-enrolment pipeline. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making, team leadership, and contract management, this role ensures streamlined, student-centred operations that contribute to the University’s international recruitment and mobility objectives. This is a full time (37.5hrs) role and appointment will be commensurate of skills and experience within the $110 - $125K range. The preferred location is at either our Albany, Auckland or Palmerston North campus. Why Massey? What You’ll Do Design and implement impactful campaigns, events, and communications that support international applicants from interest to enrolment. Collaborate across academic, marketing, and admissions teams to ensure a seamless, student-first application journey. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of recruitment and conversion specialists. Use analytics and data insights to evaluate conversion performance and continuously refine strategy. Oversee recruitment agent agreements, international mobility contracts (including Erasmus+), and other key partnerships. Contribute to operational and financial management of scholarships, commissions, and team budgets. What You’ll Bring A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field. 5–7 years of experience in student recruitment, marketing, admissions, or related tertiary operations. Proven track record in developing and executing successful student conversion strategies. Strong leadership and team management skills. Advanced proficiency in CRM systems and data tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI). Outstanding communication skills and cultural competence in working with diverse global audiences.
