The opportunity Our Summer Internship Programme is an opportunity for students who are looking to do real work that will support our community. We have internship availability across a range of different teams that have a focus on treatment plant, network, development and consenting, design and asset management. Day to day your tasks may include: * assisting engineers to solve broadly-defined engineering problems * attending incidents related to the water system and creating dynamic solutions * ingesting, improving and interacting with various data types * supporting the team with process improvements for team-specific initiatives * participating in general and field investigations. Qualifications and Skills • A trade qualification as a distribution line mechanic is required with a minimum of 2 years post certification/registration experience in general line work, including current competence in the equivalent earthed line processes to be undertaken live. • Hands-on experience in distribution line work to industry standards. • A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements. • A trade qualification as a distribution line mechanic is required. • Training and Certification in Live Line training ECP46.
