At Rutherford & Bond Toyota we believe that booking a vehicle into our Service Centre, buying a part or purchasing a new or used vehicle should be easy, and we are looking for someone with the same vision. We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our high paced Wellington Service Department. This is a crucial part to our business, so we're looking for someone with proven experience in an automotive franchise that is ready for a challenge and wants to make a change. You will be responsible for: · Assisting with the Quality Control processes · Providing guidance to workshop technicians/apprentices · Liaising with customers regarding technical concerns · Ensuring the company safety policy is followed within the workshop · Undertake all routine service and repair work on both Toyota and other vehicles · Maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control · Self-perform quality control inspections of the Automotive Technicians work · Ensuring Technician hours are sold effectively, whilst keeping the productivity and efficiency of the workshop team · Working in conjunction with the Parts department to ensure all Parts are provided for repairs · Coaching and mentoring Workshop staff to support their knowledge and performance within the department · Assisting the Parts & Service Manager with maintaining WOF requirements The successful applicant will: · Experience in the automotive industry with proven service/workshop/technical knowledge and know how · Experience in coaching, mentoring and confidently motivating a team with an aptitude for identifying opportunities for improving performance · Possess equal parts business acumen and personal motivation in order to meet and exceed targets · Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced and challenging environment · Organised, methodical and able to implement and maintain systems and procedures · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Confidence in dealing with challenging customer concerns resulting in excellent outcomes for both the customer and the business · AVI is essential · Clean and current Full Drivers Licence If this sounds like you, APPLY NOW by submitting your application online or if you want to hear more about the role, please contact Mara Kerschbaumer (HR Advisor) on hr@rb.toyota.co.nz Applications close 22 September 2025.
