Description

We're looking for a skilled Tractor Operator with relevant experience to join our Flood Operations team. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating heavy machinery, and contributing to the care of our river environments, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact. **About the role:** You'll operate a tractor-mounted reach mower (e.g. Bomford, McConnel, Spearhead) to maintain stopbanks and stream edges across the Hutt Valley, Upper Hutt, Wainuiomata, and Porirua. You'll also support flood response activities including inspections and repairs, and act as a backup operator for our 4WD multipurpose tractor. Outside of mowing season, you'll assist with river maintenance tasks such as willow planting, scrub cutting, and general upkeep of flood protection assets.
