Job Title: Class 4 Hydrovac Operator Location: Lower Hutt Employment Type: Ongoing Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Class 4 Hydrovac Operator to join our team in Lower Hutt. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate and expose underground utilities and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Operate hydrovac trucks in a safe and efficient manner. - Perform non-destructive excavation to expose underground utilities. - Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections and routine maintenance. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. - Complete job-related paperwork accurately and promptly. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Valid Class 4 driver's licence (minimum 2 years experience) - Proven experience operating hydrovac equipment. - Strong understanding of safety procedures related to excavation and utility exposure. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Good communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a similar role within the utility or construction industry. - Certification in first aid or safety training.
