We are seeking dedicated Support Workers in the Whangarei area to join our team. We have various clients which require different types of shift, including days, evening, sleepover and weekends. This role offers you a range of shifts to suit your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities - Provide personalised support to our client in his home as per the care plan and preferences. - Duties include assisting with full personal cares, including , and other tasks, specific to spinal injury support is advantageous. - Mobility support including the use of hoists or other equipment as needed. - Communicate effectively and build meaningful relationship with clients and their whānau. - Document client progress, observations and incidents accurately and promptly. Requirements - Previous healthcare/support worker experience is advantageous - Clear strong spoken English communication and interpersonal skills - Compassionate, patience, resilience, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work across various shifts - Hold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable car - Willingness to undergo relevant training and development - Comfortable around pets and animals What we Offer - Competitive hourly rates based on the qualification and paid travel within certain distance (8hour sleep over shift rate: $23.50 per hour) - Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development opportunities - Supportive work environment with a focus on staff wellbeing - Meaningful work that makes a positive impact on the lives of others If you are interested in joining our team as a Support Worker please submit your resume and a cover letter today outlining your relevant experience and why you are passionate about this role.
