Aged Care Facility Manager – Ropata Lodge & Retirement Village Location: Boulcott, Lower Hutt. Full-Time | Leadership Role | Make a Meaningful Impact We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Aged Care Facility Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our renowned Ropata Lodge rest home and retirement village. About Us: We are a boutique community-focused aged care facility made up of 35 rest home beds and 20 unit independent living village. Role Description: Aged Care Facility Manager Overview: The Aged Care Facility Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of Ropata Lodge (rest home) and Ropata Village (independent retirement living). This role is to lead the team to continue to ensure the residents receive high-quality care in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. The manager leads the team, supports staff, and ensures the facility meets all Ministry of Health (MOH) and District Health Board (DHB) compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Effective Communication Support open and clear communication across the facility to ensure everything runs smoothly. • Quality Care Uphold the facility’s values and standards of care, making sure residents feel safe, respected, and well looked after. • Staff & Resource Management Oversee staffing and resources to ensure the right support is available for residents and staff. • Health & Safety Identify and manage risks to protect residents, staff, and the business. Ensure the facility meets all MOH and DHB guidelines. • Problem Solving Help solve day-to-day challenges and keep things running efficiently. • Continuous Improvement Look for ways to improve services and make positive changes where needed. • Building Relationships Build strong, trusting relationships with staff, residents, and their families. • Leadership Support Provide professional leadership to the team and work closely with senior carers and coordinators.
