- Invercargill based - Monday to Friday with overtime available - Training and upskilling opportunities Refractory Labourer We are seeking a Refractory Labourer to join the Pyrotek team, completing refractory installations and repairs. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring high safety and quality standards are upheld across all projects. About the Role Reporting to the Refractory Supervisor, you will: - Assist with refractory installations and maintenance - Support formwork creation and mould installation - Perform equipment checks and prepare work areas - Maintain a clean and safe workspace - Be part of a team that predominantly works on-site locally - Be available at times for projects in different locations - including overnight stays, weekends, and public holidays as needed You will also be expected to contribute to a culture of high performance and committed health and safety standards. What We're Looking For We want someone reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to work hard. The ideal candidate will have: - A strong work ethic and being physically fit - The ability to follow safety procedures precisely - Good teamwork and communication skills - Attention to detail and willingness to learn - Basic maths and writing skills - A full, clean driver’s licence - Flexibility to travel and work overtime when required Prior experience in a refractory or similar industrial environment is a plus, but not essential — training is available for the right person.
