Position Overview: As a Driller Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing drilling operations, with a strong focus on horizontal drilling. You’ll ensure all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. Your primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate the drilling crew, equipment, and resources to achieve project objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with project managers/engineers to plan and execute drilling operations, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. * Oversee and assist in the setup, maintenance, and operation of drilling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. * Supervise and coordinate the activities of drilling crew, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with health & safety standards. * Track drilling progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Maintain accurate records of drilling activities. * Provide on-the-job training to crew members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices. * Assist with manual labour duties as required, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. * Work in varying and potentially extreme conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise, while maintaining high standards. * Maintain a high level of physical fitness to perform tasks effectively on-site. Requirements: * Minimum of 3 years as a Driller, with at least 1 year in a foreman (or similar) role. * Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Experience in coordinating with other drillers to meet project goals. * High attention to safety protocols and construction standards. * Full New Zealand driver’s license (WT endorsement preferred). * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. We are working alongside a Tier 1 civil contractor delivering high-quality infrastructure and construction solutions across New Zealand. We are currently seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator proficient in TIG and Stick welding to join our team and contribute to a variety of structural and civil works projects - these positions will be based on site. Key Responsibilities * Perform TIG and Stick welding on structural steel, pipework, and other components as required for civil infrastructure projects. * ASME Qualified welders are highly desirable * 6G TIG Welding for stainless steel is also preferred * Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment from technical drawings and site specifications. * Ensure work is completed to required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. * Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on welding equipment and tools. * Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures on-site and in the workshop. * Assist in site installations and repairs as required. Requirements: * New Zealand trained Welder/Fabricator * Minimum 3 years Welding/Fabricating experience in New Zealand * Perform TIG and Stick welding on structural steel, pipework, and other components as required for civil infrastructure projects. * Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment from technical drawings and site specifications. * Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans. * Ability to fabricate, cut, and weld structural steel and pipe to civil engineering specifications. * Familiar with working in both workshop and on-site environments. * Strong understanding of welding safety and PPE requirements. * Relevant welding qualifications or certifications (e.g. AS/NZS 1554 or equivalent).
