Role Overview: As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, managing those around you in the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. You will create seasonal menus (twice a year), manage inventory, and maintain a positive and productive working environment. Your leadership will shape the direction of the kitchen, from executing daily services to crafting long-term culinary strategies. Key Responsibilities: • Lead, inspire, and manage the kitchen to deliver exceptional dishes in line with our cafe’s standard. • Develop, design, and implement seasonal menus with a focus on creativity and quality. • Maintain high levels of food safety, cleanliness, and organization within the kitchen. • Oversee inventory management, ensuring minimal waste and efficient stock control. • Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff if required. • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service. • Ensure all dishes are prepared and served to the highest standards, from prep to presentation. What We are Looking For: • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen. • Excellent leadership and team management skills. • A strong passion for food, with a keen eye for detail and presentation. • Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations. • Creativity and innovation in menu design and preparation. • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
