You're a quiet hero behind the scenes — keeping our village fresh, homely, and dignified for the people who live here. We’re looking for a hardworking, caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Levin village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home. As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you'll be a key part of creating a clean, uplifting, and homelike environment for residents, their whānau, and fellow team members. Your day-to-day activities will include: - Ensuring high-quality cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities - Laundering, folding and returning residents’ clothing and linens with care and attention - Labelling, mending and maintaining residents' personal laundry items - Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures - Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs This is a casual role. Working on an as and when basis. You’ll be a great fit if you: - You have experience in housekeeping ideally in healthcare or hospitality - Take pride in your work and care about the small details - Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet - Have a genuine interest in aged care (no experience necessary — full training provided) When you’re part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced and where your career flourishes.
