*Bespoke transmission line speakers -26kg each, hand-built in NZ c.1994... TOTL*

An incredible find, weighing in at 26 kilos each and built (with exceptional skill and love) to Richard McDonalds exact specifications from a design published in Hi-Fi News c.1991. The parts alone (Volt drivers, Elac tweeters, BAF internal wadding, high-grade crossovers and M6 floor spikes) cost the cabinetmaker over NZD$1000 in 1994 -then add in the cabinetry work (AFAIK it is rimu) and most likely more than 50 hours of intense labour to build and test, and you've got yourself one very special pair of transmission-line loudspeakers :) A regretful sale, due to shifting house in 3 weeks time. My loss -your gain. Bid to own. There are not another pair (to the best of my knowledge) in the Southern Hemisphere. The cosmetic condition is 8/10... but the sound, with quality ancillary equipment (naturally) is out of this World! Just astounding. I`m happy to deliver these for a small petrol fee into the Wellington CBD, or for a little more -as far north as Wanganui, Palmerston North etc. Pick-up is also okay from Pukerua Bay 5026 given the size and weight of these behemoths, or if you're further away, I can drop them off to my local Pack and Send depot (at your risk and shipping expense).
