Electrical Asset Surveyor Are you a qualified electrician looking for something different from the usual? What you’ll do - Carry out inspections, surveys, and maintenance activities on distribution and substation assets (overhead lines, poles, ground-mounted equipment). - Conduct pole strength testing and identify asset defects. - Record findings using software and reporting tools. - Work with technical representatives in regular review meetings. - Use and maintain specialist equipment, always keeping safety front of mind. Construction in Antarctica is like nowhere else, and all the roles need hard working team players who are happy to pitch in on the tools, do the basics, do the mahi and look out for each other. Work is primarily commercial electrical up to medium voltage, with a distinct advantage for those experienced in fabricating metal conduit, data cabling, security systems, & fire alarms. You should be comfortable performing tasks from reading electrical schematics to pulling wires. You will need to have a current NZ Electrical Practising Licence.
