About the Timber This slab was cut from log SW868, recovered from Sweetwater Farm, Awanui, Far North in 2013 and kiln-dried in 2015. It has been stored in our Kumeu factory for over 10 years. Still stable and usable, with moisture content 12–14% – no redrying needed. Carbon dating of nearby logs confirms an age of approx. 50,900 years BP ± 2784 (University of Waikato / Oxford).
