The opportunity Wellington Water is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value capital works projects. In this senior role, you'll work closely with a Major Project Director to ensure full delivery of complex projects. The project you will manage, sits within in a diverse capital delivery programme of large infrastructure and water asset upgrade projects across our region. You'll manage each project within our delivery standards and meet key objectives around time, cost, quality, and safety. Key responsibilities: * Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple Capex-funded infrastructure projects * Managing external delivery providers and integrating all suppliers into cohesive project teams * Align with project governance and reporting requirements. * Identify and mitigate project risks, and proactively manage escalations * Lead contract scoping and negotiate value-driven agreements with suppliers * Foster a strong health and safety culture across all project stages About you To be successful in this role you will bring the following: * A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline * 5 - 10 years' experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects * Deep understanding of project management principles and delivery frameworks * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills * Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability Benefits At Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
