Key Responsibilities * Support and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. * Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, and clients to achieve project objectives effectively. * Assist in preparing project documentation, including work plans, schedules, budgets, and reports. * Monitor project progress, identifying risks and proactively suggesting solutions to maintain smooth workflow. * Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide project delivery and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and best practices. * Conduct site inspections, health and safety checks, and environmental controls, reporting any issues or improvements as necessary. * Contribute to fostering a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team environment. Skills, Experience, and Qualities Required for Success * Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering is essential. * Experience in civil construction, project engineering, or similar roles is highly regarded. * Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. * Strong communication and teamwork abilities, working effectively with diverse groups of people. * Sound IT skills, particularly with project management software and Microsoft Office. * Positive and adaptable attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and learning. * Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential.
