We’re looking for 3x Sous Chefs to join our fast growing team! Full-time hours are available and we will guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week. Shift times vary across the week and you must be able to work at least one day over the weekend. The wage band for this role is $28 - $35 per hour depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: * Support the Head Chef in supervising daily kitchen operations and maintaining workflow efficiency. * Lead the preparation, cooking, and packaging of food, ensuring high standards are consistently met. * Assist in onboarding and training new team members to build a skilled and cohesive kitchen crew. * Step into leadership duties during the Head Chef’s absence to provide clear direction and maintain team momentum. * Manage labour and ingredient costs effectively to ensure the kitchen remains financially viable. * Handle stock ordering and uphold strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 19 residential facilities throughout New Zealand, with ALden Rose Lodge located in Invercargill, Southland. We have a part-time opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team at Rose Lodge on Fridays and Saturdays, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, with the potential of additional hours as and when needed for cover.
