Jobbing Foreman

Christchurch City, Canterbury Region, New Zealand
We're on the hunt for a Qualified Carpenter to take the ownership of a varied workload that includes renovations, inspections, and maintenance jobs.
With no two days the same, we're looking for someone who enjoys problem solving, tackling new and unexpected challenges, and mucking in where necessary to get the job done. If you love building, have a positive attitude and are keen to take the lead - read on.
What's in it for you:
* Autonomous role with freedom and flexibility
* New and different projects to chew on every day
* Fun, friendly working environment that'll send you home smiling
* Support from an epic team in the office
* $32 - $34 ph wages + van + fuel card + phone
Role:
Just a couple of your classic Kiwi lads fixing up tired homes and bringing them back to life - doing great work, having a good time, no suits in sight. These guys have decided it's time to strengthen their team with a couple more key players, and they've brought us on board to help them find the best of the best. First on the list - an experienced Qualified Carpenter to run their renovation project portfolio.
You'll be the jack-of-all, the one-stop-shop. You'll help scope potential purchases, measure and quote jobs, procure materials, carry out renovations, manage the subbies, and make sure everything is spick and span on final handover. This is a working Foreman role, so we're looking for someone who loves being on the tools and isn't afraid to get stuck in and do the grunt work as well as the glory work.
You'll be supported by the company directors (legends, take our word for it) and a weapon project assistant - a rock-solid team who get fired up by delivering projects on time, on budget, and to a sky-high quality. You can expect to be running as many as five different projects at any one time, so it's important that you're a clear communicator, enjoy collaborating with a team, and have a strong attention to detail.
This will be a varied role with a lot of responsibility, but also freedom and autonomy. You'll be an essential and highly valued part of a hard-working team, and you'll be provided with all the tools and support you need to do the job well. If you love your trade and are keen to hear more about this epic opportunity, apply to the ad or get in touch with Brett today.
What we are looking for:
* NZ Qualified Carpenter (LBP preferred but not essential)
* 5+ years experience in renovation and maintenance work
* Full toolkit (the bigger bits and pieces will be provided)
* Positive, nothing's-an-issue attitude and great work ethic
* Strong communication, time management and organisation skills
Please apply online now, or fire your CV through to christchurch@heights.nz
Applicants may be required to undertake pre-employment alcohol and drug testing.
Applicants for this position should have NZ experience and full NZ working rights - this is not an entry level position, and sponsorship is not available.
