What we offer: * $25 - $30 (Dependent on fit and experience) * Fun atmosphere and an awesome team * 50% staff discount on food and drinks * Training and personal growth * Part-Time (20+hrs) or Full time hours available (30+hrs) You will: * be a hospo hero, passionate about guest experience and hospitality * be available to work at-least one weekend day * be capable of being a shift manager for a team of 4 -10 waitstaff (on some shifts), and if not, be open to working towards this * work in our range of dining and drinking spaces - The refined Captains Dining Room, our new garden bar, the Gastro pub and our famous sun drenched deck * will support our Hospitality Manager and Experience Team * work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure smooth service * make coffee, cocktails and serve our selection of local wines, beer and food * assist with our in-house guests (check ins / outs and respond to email and email phone bookings etc) You should apply if you: * love to provide hospitality and have at least 6 months bar experience * have strong leadership and communication skills * are keen for growth and development, we love lifelong learners * are at least 20 years old (as Duty Managers Certificate is required for the role). Steeped in history, this property is iconic and promises to become a popular weekend dining destination with locals; the plush basement bar will have a prohibition era vibe with an extensive cocktail list and the restaurant serves contemporary cuisine, inspired by the local Cambridge food scene, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Original features within the hotel include a magnificent sweeping staircase, stunning stained-glass windows, parquet flooring, high ceilings, and luxurious furnishings creating a refined and relaxed atmosphere. As the Duty Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food and beverage facilities. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily restaurant, bar and conference activities, managing staff, and maintaining the high standards Capstone is known for. Responsibilities: • Overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. • Monitoring guest reservations • Assisting in menu planning and special promotions. • Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally. • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and food quality. • Uphold the restaurant's policies and procedures. • Ensuring a positive and safe working environment for all team members. • Follow and implement the supply of Alcohol Act. • Train all staff in food and beverage service to the Hotels standard. • Responsible for optimising restaurant sales via upselling, coaching and training.
