Serving the region since 1985 Qube Forestry is part of the Qube network a leader in integrated logistics solutions. **About the Role** **Position:** Diesel Mechanic We’re looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to help maintain our modern fleet of trucks—predominantly Kenworths. You’ll be working in a fully equipped workshop with access to high-quality tooling and support though you’ll need to bring your own toolbox. **Location:** Gisborne Qube Forestry Workshop **Status:** Full-time Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays and after-hours work as required. Standard hours are 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility around start and finish times. (Please note that the operation is 7-day week 24-hour so flexibility is needed) **Specific Responsibilities** * Servicing and repairing a fleet of modern trucks (predominantly Kenworth) * Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues * Replacing and repairing components * Supporting fleet operations in a busy high-performing environment **Who we're after:** We’re seeking candidates who are either Level 4 NZQA Road Transport Certified or have 5–10 years of hands-on experience working with diesel trucks. The ideal candidate proven history in the local industry, experience working independently and has experience working on a range of brands and plant. Thinking on your feet and experience working on a range of mobile plant is key. Heavy earth moving equipment experience is invaluable. Day to day activities include diagnostics, repairs and scheduled maintenance on underground heavy diesel equipment (Loaders, Trucks, Boggers, Jumbos, Drills).
