This book lists many of the men who served in the Light Brigade in Crimea in 1856-57. Some men have written histories and others died from their wounds before their stories were recorded. Some have promotions and awards mentioned in their summary of service. This came to me from the family of Sir William Gordon who was at Lieutenant/then Captain at the time. He later became the CO of the 17th Lancers during the Indian Mutiny. There are several photos of the old soldiers in the rear of this book some of who lived to view some of the Great War soldiers of 1914-1918
