Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy vehicle transporter trucks with flat-deck trailers to deliver vehicles between Christchurch and locations. Safely load secure and unload cars. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report and address any mechanical or safety issues Maintain accurate delivery logs mileage records and transport documentation Ensure all transported vehicles are delivered damage-free and on schedule Perform routine trailer inspections of brakes lights tires and basic maintenance tasks Comply with NZ Transport Agency NZTA and workplace health and safety regulations at all times Required Qualifications & Experience - Full Class 5 driver’s licence or International class A licence Minimum 4 years’ experience driving heavy vehicles with trailers ideally vehicle transporter work Proven ability to load and secure multiple vehicles on a flat-deck trailer Clean driving record no recent serious infringements Ability to navigate Christchurch and other South Island routes independently Good time-management skills and a strong safety focus Basic mechanical aptitude identifying minor trailer or truck issues topping up fluids Physically fit to climb on and off trailers and handle light manual tasks Desirable Attributes- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and transport-management software Excellent communication skills and ability to work unsupervised Strong attention to detail especially when securing cargo.

You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in melting of metals with induction furnaces. Ideally you will have sole charge experience being able to work without direct supervision. You will be systematic in your approach, with attention to detail and able to follow set guidelines to ensure compliance to international material specifications. You must also be fluent in English with verbal and written communication required, ideally with good email capability. We work with in a supportive and collaborative working style in a multicultural team, and you would be an energetic person willing to work alongside and assist as required. Applicants with extensive melting experience and demonstrated supervisory or managerial expertise are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a permanent full time role. The pay rate will be depending on your experience and additional attributes.
