Description We're looking for strong, reliable team members to join Big Camel Moving & Storage in Wellington. This role involves residential and commercial furniture moving, loading/unloading trucks, and driving Class 2 vehicles (once licensed). About you The successful person will have: Experience in a similar role, or willingness to learn, Full Class 1 driver’s licence and ability to drive a manual, Class 2 licence is highly beneficial, Be physically fit and mobile, able to do physical work, Have a commitment to health and safety. We are currently expanding our production of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC) – a lightweight, high-performance concrete – and are seeking a reliable and motivated Factory Hand to join our manufacturing team in Belfast, Christchurch. About the Role The core responsibility of this position is preparing and mixing batches for GRC manufacturing. You will also support the mould-making team, so basic woodworking skills are a strong advantage. This is a hands-on, physical role requiring good attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities • Accurately mixing raw materials for GRC production • Assisting in mould preparation and mould-making (basic carpentry/woodworking) • Supporting finishing processes in the manufacturing area – trowelling etc • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment • Participating in quality control checks Ideally, You Will Have: • Confidence using power tools, sanders, and general workshop equipment • Some woodworking or carpentry experience • Mechanical aptitude and a good eye for detail • A strong work ethic and desire to learn new skills • The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team • A driver’s licence (preferred but not essential) Experience in the following trades would be a bonus: • Concrete placing or finishing • Exterior plastering • Fibre glassing or chopper gun operation
