We have been around for over 10 years, this an opportunity to join a stable company with a very busy repair centre, offering job security for the right candidate. We specialise in new builds, new fitouts, repairs for both the private market and the leading rental brands, and accessory installation. If you think you have the following attributes and want to be considered, then please send us an application: • Capable with the use and knowledge of hand tools, power tools and joinery machinery, glues etc. • General DIY capability and knowledge • Be able to remove and install cabinetry and furniture in motorhomes • Hand building cabinets from measurement only • Be able to create solid timber products to a high standard (be able to demonstrate experience in woodwork) • Good health and able to handle some heavy lifting • Good attention to detail • Punctual and a tidy worker • Have the ability to work and communicate well with a team • Be willing to learn new techniques, gain new knowledge and skills. • Understand that we have processes in place to meet not only our tight deadlines but also maintain our high workmanship and reputation and will therefore be keen to follow those processes and/or contribute to developing new and better processes. You’ll be expected to tackle a broad range of repair jobs – no two days will be the same! Broad job description, but not limited to: • remove and install cabinetry and furniture in motorhomes • repair, modify or make new cabinetry and furniture • repair and replace internal panels (wood panels, vinyl panels etc.) • remove and replace windows, vents (must be comfortable working at heights) • basic plumbing (removing and installing tapware/water pumps/toilets etc) • exterior component removal and installations (such as awnings/ cabin door/ locker doors/ steps etc.) • motorhome floor replacements If you do not have past experience in the motorhome industry, but do possess skills to be able to do above, we will consider your application. Pay rates will be based around experience. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 3:30pm. The right candidate will also be a team player, have good communications skills and possess the ability to work independently. Joshua Motors has been in business for 19 years and has a good reputation in the automotive repair industry – we do work for insurance companies as well as the private sector , we also work on brand new vehicles from dealerships . We require 2 to 3 experienced refinish technicians to join our team and aid us with an ever-increasing workload. The position on offer is for a Permanent Full Time Position. Suitable applicants should have a minimum of 2 years trade qualified work experience in automobile refinishing. Trade qualification or relevant qualification in automotive refinishing would be advantageous . The successful applicant should have the following skills and work experience as listed below. Refinish technician : 1. Sprays surfaces of vehicles with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, clear coat, autoflex coatings , using spray gun 2. Cleans grease and dirt from panels, using materials, such as thinner, turpentine, soap, and water 3. May use acid, wire brush, steel wool or sanders to remove rust from metal 4. Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated 5. Fills dents with body filler 6. Sand panel surfaces between coats to obtain smooth finish 7. Selects and mixes paint to produce desired colour matching and shades, and according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer 8. Pours coating material into spray container and connects gun to air hose, 9. Adjusts sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to manufacturer’s specification 10. Paint panels 11. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush 12. Cleans spraying equipment with solvent 13. remove dust from clear coat ,cut and polish 14. May paint designs or stencils to vehicles 15 Be able to complete all aspects of the refinish repair industry from start to finish and be adaptable to help and assist where required Have good health, Have good character and good work ethic with a can-do attitude. Be able to work unsupervised & problem solve when required Remuneration will be reflected in the applicants qualifications and experience around $26 to $30 per hour, could later earn up to $32 per hour. The applicant will be offered a normal work week of 40 hours with overtime available as and when required. Employee are guaranteed payment for at least 30 hours per week.
