We’re looking for a skilled and qualified motorcycle mechanic to join our small busy team at Challis Motorcycles Ltd Glentunnel. We require a dedicated responsible person for servicing a range of products. We are a small country garage offering services to the community such as primarily farm and trail motorbikes. Outdoor power equipment and a full automotive side including WOF services and mechanical repairs. Key Responsibilities: Conducting comprehensive diagnostics on motorcycles and ATVs Performing servicing and repairs. Ability to communicate at all levels with staff and customers. What We’re Looking For: A positive, solution-driven attitude with excellent teamwork skills A genuine passion for motorcycles and ATVs, with a commitment to top-notch service Strong problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to seek input from others when needed. A clean driver’s license and qualification is required. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday. Market rate remuneration is on offer. The Job As a specialist coatings applicator, you will work within a team to: • Measure areas, and calculate product quantity consumptions • Use allocated materials, products, tools, and equipment to complete the preparation and application of specialist floor coatings, waterproofing systems, intumescent, and concrete floor repairs • Follow project and health & safety documentation and processes • Clean and maintain tools and equipment • Ensure quality assurance • Communicate with other staff members and clients This role is based in Queenstown with job locations varying across the Otago region and some travel and time working away from home may be required. If you think you have the following attributes and want to be considered, then please send us an application: • Capable with the use and knowledge of hand tools, power tools and joinery machinery, glues etc. • General DIY capability and knowledge • Be able to remove and install cabinetry and furniture in motorhomes • Hand building cabinets from measurement only • Be able to create solid timber products to a high standard (be able to demonstrate experience in woodwork) • Good health and able to handle some heavy lifting • Good attention to detail • Punctual and a tidy worker • Have the ability to work and communicate well with a team • Be willing to learn new techniques, gain new knowledge and skills. • Understand that we have processes in place to meet not only our tight deadlines but also maintain our high workmanship and reputation and will therefore be keen to follow those processes and/or contribute to developing new and better processes.
