A striking and expressive pastel on paper abstract by Nelson artist, Louise Marmont. Large, well framed work measuring 108cm wide by 154cm tall (in frame). See photo with meter ruler and office chair in it for scale. The previous owner told us that the artist told them the work is a response to the phrase 'drawing as experience and experience as drawing'. It is a 2015 work which has subtlety in the pastel lines which is hard to photograph, for example there is some white pastel marks which are texturally different in person but hard to see in photos. Due to the size and smallness of the drawing strokes, this is quite an immersive experience picture which you could look at for some time, as little details emerge. We have also found the last two pictures online, presumably from the original exhibition, where you can see this picture hanging.
