We employ a fantastic team of specialised staff to assist clients with a range of commercial works, residential and lifestyle property needs. One of our specialty services is commercial civil works. We are experienced in a wide range of subdivision construction, playgrounds, sports fields and roading construction. About the role: We are looking for a Civil Manager to join our team. As an experienced Manager, you will report to the Senior Leadership Team. This role also requires a strong business development focus, with the ability to build lasting relationships, manage client expectations, and foster teamwork. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving both operational success and business growth. Your key duties include: • Project performance accountability • Estimating support for new projects and opportunities • Mentor and grow a high performing team, set goals and objectives and develop culture • Staff and plant logistics and organisation to ensure smooth daily operations and delivery • Streamline operations for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness • Maintain strong client and supplier relationships • Strong civil acumen with exceptional knowledge and experience of 'on the ground' operations plus also understand the commercial side About you: • Proven experience as an Operations or Senior Manager in other Civil Companies • Strong track record of delivering multiple successful projects and managing teams • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams • Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial outcomes effectively • Knowledge of H&S regulations and compliance To apply: Please send a covering letter and your CV to admin@mclcontracting.co.nz
