Stringfellows currently has a full-time position available for an apprentice within our drainage team. This position is open to applicants with no prior experience but experience in similar hands-on outdoor work would be beneficial. A mentoring and training programme would be provided by Stringfellows, with the successful applicant completing national trade certificates as part of their training. Applicants without any prior experience will also gain heavy vehicle licences and a Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsement as part of their training. You will be responsible for implementing traffic management plans, overseeing a team of traffic controllers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. This is a key role where your expertise will contribute to the smooth running of our projects and the safety of all road users. This is a permanent, full-time role working primarily Mon-Friday starting at 6am. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and lead a team of traffic controllers. * Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including CoPTTM standards. * Monitor traffic flows and adjust management plans as needed. * Conduct site inspections to ensure safe and efficient traffic management. * Liaise with site managers, contractors, and local authorities. * Provide training and support to traffic controllers. * Report on traffic management activities and incidents.
