Phil Hawke Contracting Ltd are looking for a motivated and experienced tractor and agricultural machinery operator, to perform a range of duties as part of an owner operated family business. Phil Hawke Contracting is located in Hinuera (approximately 7km south of Matamata) Waikato. This is a fixed-term seasonal position available from September 2025 to April 2026. Duties will include, but are not limited to, driving with a Fendt tractor and operating the following equipment: - Double/triple mowers. - A quad rotor rake. - Slurry spreading implements. - Combi silage baler (baling and wrapping). - Maize/grass bin. - Drilling implements. - Bale stacking/cartage. Additional duties and responsibilities would include mechanical repairs and servicing as required and maintaining agricultural machinery to a high standard, as well as adhering to relevant health and safety protocols. Requirements: - Full clean driver’s license. - Minimum of two years’ experience operating tractors with agricultural equipment. - Pass a pre-employment drug test. Pay Rate: - $25-$35 per hour, paid weekly. - 8% Holiday pay is paid with weekly pay. Hours of Work: - Minimum of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 60 hours.
