Description We’re a locally owned Restaurant serving great food, exceptional coffee, and warm hospitality in Raglan . We’re on the lookout for a passionate and reliable Cook/Chef to join our kitchen team. If you love working with food, enjoy a great team, – we’d love to hear from you! Position Purpose: To assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food for the cabinet and à la carte menu, following health, safety, and food hygiene standards. The role supports the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and includes some independent food preparation and baking. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Cabinet offering • Maintain cleanliness and food safety compliance in the kitchen • Work both independently and collaboratively with the Head Chef • Occasionally assist in catering prep and events • Optional: support front-of-house staff if experienced and required, • Reporting to: Head Chef and Restaurant Manager Work Hours: Rostered shifts between approx. 9:00am and 9:30pm . *Minimum 30hours/week Minimum Skills and Experience Required • At least 2 years cook experience . • Optional : Cooking Indian Meals will be an advantage but not essential. • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards • Ability to follow directions and work independently when needed • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good team communication • Barista or customer service experience is a bonus (not required)
