Specialising in growing onions, potatoes and maize, Eatim Farming Limited is seeking someone who wishes to further their career in the horticulture industry. We are a small team that adopt an evolutionary philosophy, striving to continually improve on our ways of cropping whilst doing the basics very well. We utilise modern equipment, examples being John Deere, GreenstarGPS, Grimme potato equipment, Amazone cultivation and spreading equipment. Based primarily in Matamata, with some work in Franklin, the hands on role will include being responsible for ensuring your delegated day to day activities are completed around groundwork, planting of the crops, crop protection, nutrient applications and harvesting. This includes operating tractors, forklifts, sprayers and completing other tasks as required. Key requirement are: • Experience in the horticulture industry. • Spraying experience preferred. • Full drivers license. • Positive attitude and commitment to work. • Ability to work with guidance and instruction. • Ability to work well as part of a team. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Enjoy variety and working outdoors. • Good physical fitness.
