The purpose of the Senior Maintenance Technician is to support the wider business by keeping everything in top notch operating condition. This includes ensuring equipment, machinery, facilities, and infrastructure are operating efficiently and safely with minimal down time. Promotes safety compliance for themselves and the department. Be hands on and effectively identify any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and prioritise resources to minimise downtime and support the farm and operations teams Set up and implement maintenance programs for the Lichfield site both farm and grading to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity including daily, weekly facility/equipment checks. Efficiently order and manage spare parts inventory to minimise downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations. Test and diagnose malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, then plan repairs as required Report on achievement of targets and identifying any actions required Observe and promote a safety-first culture in all that you do Provide periodic reporting to the leadership team including risk factors, opportunities, and budgeting. Mechanical or engineering background, with a solid understanding of maintenance principles and practices. At least 3 years' experience in same or similar role Proven experience in maintenance industry with a track record of delivering results. Hourly rate $30 - $35 Reside in or willing to relocate to South Waikato. Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
