Fencer-General | Full-Time | Waipari Station – Coastal Hawke’s Bay Waipari Station is on the lookout for a full-time Experienced Fencer-General to join our team of 3. We're after someone who’s hard-working, enthusiastic, and takes initiative keen to enhance their career. About Waipari Station: Waipari is a diverse coastal station including Flats, steep & rolling hill country located 35 minutes south of Waipawa. We are a 1330ha, 10,000SU sheep & Beef Station with 300ha of forestry. FAP & GAP-4 certified, finishing to Atkins Ranch. We pride ourselves on using modern & safe gear and utilizing the latest technology. The station enjoys warm Hawke’s Bay weather, with access to great hunting (deer, rabbits, turkeys & ducks), Fishing and Diving beach, and a popular surf beach just minutes away. * Key Responsibilities: - Building and maintaining fences (8 wire batten & 4 wire electric, post ramming, boring) - competent use of power tools and chainsaws etc. - General farm maintenance including tractor and machinery operation - Occasional seasonal stock work support (e.g. docking, weaning) - 40 productive hours per week, with variety and autonomy - Ability to work in a team and by yourself. * What We’re Looking For: - Ability to operate side by side, 115hp Deutz and 60hp Kioti Tractors - Proven experience with fencing, especially building new fences from scratch - Skilled with post drivers/borers and general tractor work - Crutching ability and comfortable processing mutton (preferred but not essential) - Full driver’s license required - Off-road experience an advantage – 4WD training provided through Hillseekers - Willing to lend a hand with whatever the day requires * Perks & Benefits: - Ability for contract fence lines - A very Cozy 3 bedroom cottage with a garden & Feijoa trees, Kent fire with wetback, Provided on farm, Currently being renovated. - Suitable for Single, couple or Small families -Meat allowance: beef and mutton - Hunting and Fishing + diving all on your doorstep - Free internet, firewood - Omakere Primary School just 15 mins away; Te Aute and CHB Colleges within 30 mins If this sounds like you, Send your CV (written or video) and a brief statement explaining why you’re a great fit for Waipari to henry@waipari.nz with at least 2 references.
