There is an exciting opportunity to become an owner driver for Mainfreight Metro Christchurch! Day-to-day responsibilities: * Safe loading, securing, and unloading of freight * Managing the pick-up and delivery of freight, on time and damage free * Ensuring your truck is maintained in immaculate condition Job requirements: * Current Class 2 Drivers Licence * Transport service Licence (TSL) * Forklift Licence (OSH) * Dangerous goods license * A positive attitude and a quick learner * English proficient and excellent communication * Appropriate finance with the ability to purchase an appropriate vehicle - there is currently a truck for sale from a previous owner driver What we offer you: * Your success as a truck driver will lead to your profit * Earnings will be dependent on driving experience and class of truck * Your work will be regular, consistent, and reliable * We have turnkey truck solutions arranged - stress free To be considered for this position you will need to be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident and pass a Pre-employment Background Check and Drug and Alcohol Test.
